Salt Lake Temple
We took a trip to the Salt Lake Valley. It was bueatiful as always. Rob & Mollie had never been to Salt Lake before & they really loved seeing everything that is involved with the Church's headquarters. The Temple grounds looked beautiful as always. I love all the flowers around the grounds. Everywhere you look is just so colourful, bright & cheerful.
We also visited the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Tabernacle, the Conference Centre, the Visitor Center, the Church Office Building, Church Museum, Bee Hive House etc, etc . . . . . the list goes on. It is a fun city, especially when you are seeing it all for the 1st time. We also went to dinner at the house of the missionary that baptised Mollie. That was fun for everyone to catch up. He & his wife have 5 kids and Kaiden had a great time playing with them (the younger ones anyway). He makes friends where ever he goes. Sunday morning we went to listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Chior perform for their weekly broadcast. It was fantastic.

They held the broadcast in the Conference Centre because in the Summer there are so many visitors that they can't accomodate everyone in the Tabernacle, so they needed to move to the Conference Centre which is obviously much larger. But our time in SLC was limited & really there was more things we could have done or done for longer but we had a great time & it was nice to be able to be there with family.
Arches National Park

This is Delicate Arch
After Salt Lake we decided to come home via Arches National Park. As you can see from the arch above, it is an amazing place. Truely a wonder of nature. The colours & formations of the landscape are just incredible.

Again we have been here before but we just loved going back and seeing the park again. If you are in the area & have the time this really is a must see.
We went on a walk along the Double Arch trail which took us to the 2 Arches below. Kaiden had the most wonderful time climbing & jumping all over the rocks. He was in heaven. Alot of the parks we have been to don't let you climb on the rocks for obvious reasons but not at Arches. Kaiden just climbed & climbed til his little heart was content & his little body was tierd. I wish I had Arches in our back yard so I could give him his daily exercise then I am sure I would be able to get him to take regular naps in the morning. hee hee.
What a back yard that would be!!
Some areas needed Dad's helping hand. You can't really see but there is a steep drop on either side of where Simon & Kaiden are walking. It made Kaiden a little nervous but he quickly got over it. Too much to explore to be worried.
