Xel-Ha - 13th May 2008

Happy 41st Anniversary Mum & Dad. I was thinking of you today!
Xel-Ha is pronounced Shell-Ha. It was an amazing place & incredible day. We all had a ball. And yes . . . Rob was feeling a little better so he was able to enjoy it as well. Yay! Where to start. . . . . .
Simon & his Mum went for an under water sea walk. That looked pretty amazing. They were under water for about 45 mins, walking along a designated pathway & saw huge fish, sting rays & some other sea creatures. The force of the air in their helmets pushes the water down & away from their mouths allowing them to breath. When the helmets came off their hair wasn't even wet. Pretty cool. They thoroughly enjoyed it.

While Dad & Nana were doing their under water walk Kaiden & I did a little more snorkeling. He'd caught the bug! Then we went off the visit an under water Mayan cave. That was fun.

Then it would be safe to say, the BEST part of the day . . . .

SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS ! !

Isn't this the most adorable photo ever ! !

Kaiden didn't want to do this either but we reminded him about not wanting to go snorkeling & how fun & safe it was & he was in. He was a little apprehensive but once he saw the dolphins swimming around & we got in the water he was sooo excited. Then jumped over our heads, swam around & up to us. They danced for us & with us. We got to give them a cuddle & they even gave us a kiss on our cheeks. They were amazing.

The best part was the foot push. This is where you lay in the water in a kind of star position & then when the trainer gives the command two dolphins come up from behind you & put their noses on the bottom of your feet & if you keep your legs straight, they push you through & up out of the water. It was incredible! Kaiden didn't want to do this part so he sat out while we did it & the trainer let him reward the dolphins with some fish. I think that was the best part for Kaiden. He loved it! What an amazing experience, one we may not get again so we were really pleased that Kaiden decided to do it & so was he.

The Dolphins were Amazing & Beautiful ! !
