After an extended Summer break Kaiden finally went back to school. I say finally because he missed the 1st 6 days of the school year and also because he was dieing to get back into it. We went to the meet and greet the Friday before school was due to start to meet Kaiden's 1st Grade teacher, Mr Scholes and check out his class room. Before Kindy ended he kept saying that he didn't want to go into the 1st Grade because all they do is Math. Which we thought was funny because he is actually really good at Math, but anyway. He was convinced that was all you did in the 1st Grade ALL DAY! Thankfully, he was really excited to meet Mr Scholes, see where his desk was and find out which kids he knew were in his class. There are only 4 kids from Kaiden's Kindy class in his class but he knows a few more from Baseball and Soccer, so he's set. He was a little disappointed that Liam wasn't in his class again this year but I think it is probably best for the both of them. They would never get anything done if they were in the same class. Thank heavens for recess and lunch time.
So off he went full of beans ready for his first day. I ran around all day doing errands until it was time to meet him at the bus. He had a great first day, although he was a little tired and he actually came home with a temperature but luckily that only seemed to last the night. Thank goodness.
All in all . . . . . 1st Grade seems great . . . . . so far, so good . . . . . . let's hope it stays that way!
