Tulum is another Mayan City that has been left in ruins. This one is on the coast though & has amazing views of the Caribbean. All five of us went but Rob & Mollie went back to the entrance because Rob wasn't feeling well (if you look closely at the photo of us at the entrance of Tulum you can tell). It was the start of a mysterious illness that we later found out was a severe case of sun stroke. He will never live this one down!! We had a personal guide here as well which was great because it gives you so much more insight into the city than you could ever get on your own. After the tour we were left to ourselves to just wonder and check out the place. It was really beautiful. Tulum had a very different feeling from Chitchen-Itza. It seemed more peaceful the moment we entered the city walls. Also it had a stairway down to the beach which was great. It was a really hot day so we soaked our feet in the water to cool off. Kaiden had a blast playing in the waves.
