We went to the Baseball again tonight. Colorado Rockies v the Atlanta Braves. It was a tight game but the Rockies came up with the run to tie the game and the winning run in the bottom of the 8th. Thank goodness. They have had a slow start to the season so far but hopefully this will put a fire under them.
We had a great time. Kaiden met 'Dinger' the Rockie's mascott who couldn't be a better animal (a Dinosaur) so he was stoked.
Kaiden attracted a bit of attention as always with his cheering and chanting. He made some new friends as always. When the Rockies scored the winning run the old man across the isle from us leaned over and gave Kaiden a high five which was repeated at the end of the game. He is a little miffed though when people laugh because he doesn't understand that they think he's cute or funny. He just hears the laughter and doesn't really like it. Hmmmm, wonder where he gets that from.
Still, the Rox won and we all had a great time. Oh, we all got a 2007 League Championship ring as tonight's promotion when we came through the gates. So that was awesome. Can't complain about that can you.
Oh, almost forgot . . . . the ball Kaiden is holding up is the ball he scored during the warm up session. We got there early so we didn't miss out on anything . . . . Kaiden was a little disturbed that the ball was used and a some what dirty . . . . so I explained that the marks on the ball came from the players actually practising with his ball and that was actually a good thing. Also that some people go to the baseball all their lives and never get a game or practice ball ever! It was then he realised how special and lucky he really was to have scored the ball. Bless his little soul. I still want to catch one in a game though. I am working on it!
